Remarkable progress has been made in the past decades in cancer control, but more can be done.

And we can do more if we address cancer in accordance with its complexity.

Cancer is a complex disease from a biological, medical, but also from a social, economic, and healthcare policy perspective.

However, for too long and too often, we have tried to fight against this complex system with a simplistic, linear approach.

That’s why successes have mostly been incremental rather than disruptive.

At Centre for Innovation in Medicine, we have the opportunity to apply advanced methods and innovative methodologies to unravel the mysteries of the complex system called cancer to make a real positive impact on people’s lives.
