One of the best weekends last month was spent in 🇦🇿🇦🇿Baku, Azerbaijan, as part of the Global Baku Forum. A real marathon of meaningful conversations under the umbrella of two big topics: this year’s UN Future Summit and COP-29. On top of that, I had some small personal joys – including getting to meet the President of the Munich Security Conference Foundation, Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger.

1️⃣Reinvigorating multilateralism through strong and legitimate institutions that are accountable for their performance, 2️⃣the opportunities for small and medium-sized powers in the context of an era of strategic competition between the US and China, and 3️⃣the need to think about how we finance the green transition to make sense for the private sector – the three messages I left with from this amazing journey.
