The Delphi Economic Forum was a good opportunity to discuss disinformation, media literacy, media independence & the financing of public media. The discussion took place in a somewhat new environment for the topic, with the participants focusing on economic issues and global crisis like wars and others, but nonetheless I think that it was very appropriate event to showcase the importance of trustworthy media, and news agencies in particular, during a gathering of some of the most influential thinkers in the world and of some of the Balkan political & economical heavyweights. I took the opportunity to underline the importance of media literacy, for both the public & journalists, and to call for support, backed by measures to guarantee independence, for public media.

Looking forward to future developments involving EANA – The European Alliance of News Agencies and major events like the Delphi Economic Forum.
