Taking part in the events of EANA – The European Alliance of News Agencies was always about the feeling I got after each conference: full of ideas, hopes and high goals. Now, even more than ever, each conference is even more important to me, considering the fact that I am organising them 🙂 It’s a lot more stressful, I have to admit, but successful EANA Conferences are worth it, because each one adds a brick to the foundation of the future of news agencies in Europe.

As Secretary General of the Alliance, I am always looking to generate that same reaction from my colleagues, the members of the EANA, after each conference. I want them to leave the meetings energised, hopeful and full of productive ideas. That is part of what pushes me forward to get better and better at my job.

Considering the very high-level of the discussions among the top news agency leaders in Europe, I can only be optimistic about the future. Many thanks to everyone that took part. Conferences are only successful when you have quality participants.

A big thank you to our keynote speaker, Mitali Mukherjee, the director of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism who shed light on the future of media through her very insightful presentation on media consumption habits.
