Honoured to attend and speak at the CEE Digital Summit  in Warsaw – the sixth annual gathering of digital thinkers from across Central and Eastern Europe, impeccably organised by the CEE Digital Coalition and Związek Cyfrowa Polska / Digital Poland Association.

Grateful for the inspiring discussion and the excellent moderation during the “Bread and Butter of the Digital Economy”panel — and for the vision of those who keep shaping Europe’s digital future with trust and purpose.

I insisted on a few key points:
– Europe is building one of the most advanced digital frameworks in the world — but it now needs a cultural change around data.
– Beyond standards and safeguards, we need a shared purpose — a story that connects innovation with meaning and turns data into progress people can feel.
– Moving from open data to common data is not just a technical shift — it’s a change of mindset, from compliance to collaboration, from access to aspiration.

I strongly believe that a united Europe also needs a shared “why” in the digital age.
