⤵ This week EPIS ThinkTank e.V. has published the third issue of its magazine related to international foreign affairs, security and politics, „To Arm or Not to Arm”, and in it you can find my article on the Black Sea security in the context of the war in Ukraine.

Much has been written in the last two years about how and why NATO should improve its defence and deterrence posture on the eastern flank, and in this conversation, strengthening the allied presence in the Black Sea must be a priority. We Romanians can only welcome this trend, although we should admit that we should have been a little more assertive in pushing for a stronger allied presence in the region for some time now. Let us hope that the NATO Summit in Washington this summer will bring more clarity to the alliance regarding transatlantic unity on the Black Sea, and that our governments will rise to the historic moment and continue to invest intelligently and consistently in modern naval defence capabilities.
