The war in Ukraine, with its complex impact over the entire Black Sea region, has shown that having a resilient army and military infrastructure, good crisis management and effective leadership are not sufficient to ensure a functioning nation during crisis. In order to be able to understand and handle the nefarious effects of security crises like massive refugee influxes, humanitarian issues, food shortages and increasing economic pressures people need to be prepared to dismantle malign propaganda and disinformation on part of aggressors.
