Last week, I had the honor and pleasure of attending the GLOBSEC Bratislava Forum, as part of GLOBSEC’s Young Leaders program, which brought together 25 young voices from 3 continents.

This year’s theme -„Building Resilience in a Divided World”- provided a platform to discuss the Russian war on Ukraine and its significance on the European security, regional and global alliances, the transatlantic bond, the future of democracy, and the EU’s role in the world. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is a watershed moment for Europe and the world so strengthening resilience at home and supporting Ukraine were the highlights of the discussions.

During the GLOBSEC Young Leaders Forum, I had also the opportunity to put my expertise to good use by moderating the panel „Ukraine: Game Changer for the Broader EU Neighbourhood?” during which we discussed the future of EU’s enlargement and neighbourhood policies together with Josip Brkić, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ján Cingel, CEO, Strategic Analysis.

In short, it was an intellectual feast. I am privileged for having the chance to „dive into” all these important discussions and meet inspiring young leaders who are carrying the torch of democratic values and multilateralism through their work.
