In October last year I embarcked in a great journey offered by the BeeEffect Programme of the European Fund for the Balkans (EFB) – 4 months of mentorship with a young leader and PhD student from Belgrade – Dušan Radujko. We clicked from the first minutes we met, we laughted at the same weird jockes, we showed our vulnerabilities and beyond just discovering different parts of his sophisticated personality – we had great fun while offering advice from my experience amd guiding him for developing a career plan for 2023. I believe Dusan is ready to have a great impact with his actions in his community and I am happy I could have him as a guest in my University in Bucharest. Every encounter between us proved an insightful learning process – crossing from art, arhitecture, history, ideologies, poetry to contemporary challenges in Balkan politics and the war in Ukraine. I feel hounoured to be his mentor and for allowing him to be a partner in this wonderful journey that ended last week during the Annual EFB Alumni network event. I strongly believe he will br a leader with strong principles that our region needs in these complex times! Hvala!
