When talent, discipline, performance, hard work and ambition meet, the sky is the limit.

We had the proof last night, when Alexandrion Group awarded 9 of the most remarkable young Romanian athletes in the 8th edition of the Alexandrion Trophies Gala, suggestively titled “The Promise”. Some of them are already national and international champions, others are very close to getting those titles. Their passion and commitment to the sport that they practice, their willingness to trade spare time that other children and teenagers of their age have with long training hours, their drive to brake world records and become the best in their category, are qualities that make them very likely to become Romania’s future greatest athletes, true ambassadors of our country abroad.

Here are this year’s awardees:

Sabina Petrache – Wrestling

Jennifer-Ștefania Dossey – Athletics

Mirela Cojocaru – Judo

Radu Nitu – Fencing

Luca Pojar – Swimming

The National Female Water Polo Team U 19 – Polo

Miruna Lehaci – Chess

Florin Ionita – Boxing

Anastasia Stancu – Gymnastics

The Alexandrion Group offered a special award to Kassandra, a very brave young lady who has gone through no less than 50 surgeries to be able to lead a normal life. Kassandra is a very strong source of inspiration for all of us and we wanted to award her for her resilience and her power to overcome life’s most difficult obstacles.

Congratulations to all the winners! I’m very proud of all of them and I look forward to seeing them win important medals in future competitions.
