Just a thought
Lately I’m hearing a lot of news about families and their dramas with children which made me sad, very sad. I’m involved in two major deals and I built up some tension and I tried different things to release that tension, working out trying to do things that I like but I still feel it there.
Sometimes is coming up in my relation with my two amazing kids.
Today while I was doing some sports I was thinking why I don’t listen, why I almost always turn to the”easiest” solution and telling my kids that you are restricted from cartoon or some other things because of what you did instead of stopping and asking them what they feel that made them react the way they reacted? Why I choose to punish their feelings because of my laziness? Why I try to build up a follower instead of a leader and encourage them to speak up?
So, I had an aha moment and the way that I decided to do some sports activity for at least 30’ a day for as many days as I can I decided that from today I will give up my laziness and start listening to them and their feeling I will give my best to help them speak out even if I will not like what I hear. By the way I’ve reached already 144 days of doing at least 30’ of exercise per day and it feels amazing.
I grew up in a family in which I wasn’t encouraged to speak up I rather closed everything in myself and that costs me a lot. I don’t want that for my kids.
