For several decades, China has been a country of economic uprising, and under the rule of President Xi Jinping began to play a stronger military-political role. It was building global (Belt-and-Road) or regional formats of cooperation in our part of the world (17+1), but the years 2021 and 2022 brought a lot of uncertainty and twists, culminating in the current war in Ukraine. How big is China’s influence in the Black Sea region and how does it manifest?

Project coordinator Sorin Ionitsa, chairman of the Bucharest-based Expert Forum (EFOR), which advocates the rule of law and good governance will speak.

Moderator: Vladimir Mitev, journalist from Ruse

The performance will be followed by a debate with the audience. Public access to the event is free. We hope that the event will also be interesting for media representatives. The presentation will be held in English and there will be a Bulgarian translation.

It has built formats of global (Belt-and-Road) or regional cooperation in our part of the world (17+1) but the years 2021 and 2022 have brought much uncertainty and upheavals, all culminating in the current war in Ukraine. How great is China’s influence in the Black Sea and how does it manifest?

The coordinator of the project, Sorin Ioni Vaă, president of Expert Forum (EFOR) will speak, a think tank from Bucharest that advocates for the state of law and good governance
