After a morning debating governance at the Academy of Economic Studies, it was fantastic to share , yesterday evening, our STEAM approach to the innovative green restoration of Salbek Castle and our educational project , with friends in Bucharest. The event took place at the elegant M Museum, a beautiful example of 1930s architecture. Guests and volunteers working on Salbek projects gathered to enjoy an evening of music, featuring Anastasia Turkoz, Christian Ruja, and Liana Mares, who brought the spirit of the 2025 Master Class to Bucharest.

The „A” in STEAM shone brightly through an impressive glass art exhibit by students from Cluj and Bucharest, creating a stunning glass herbarium that delighted our friends from BCR. Chef Lica from Marriott crafted a special menu featuring venison and rabbit, highlighting the estate’s fauna, and we savored sweet treats and paired wines from Minis.

The evening was filled with warmth as we shared the custom of the Zarand Valley, welcoming friends with honey, bread, and champagne (thanks to Carassia!). The night concluded with an enchanting performance by Doina Lavric Parghel on her koboz, leaving us spellbound with her magic stories, asking nature for fall rich in crops!

As the evening wound down, I was surprised and delighted by a piano performance by my son, who worked tirelessly alongside Sorina Neacșu – it made my day!
