On Saturday at the Romanian Athenaeum, there were two screenings of the film „Enescu – Skinned Alive,” which premiered last November and has already received two prestigious awards. Thank you Iulia Gorneanu for inviting me.
The Athenaeum was full and vibrant. The event included the director Toma Enache and many artists, including Mircea Dragoman, Cristian Sofron, and the ethereal Iulia Gorneanu.
Director Toma Enache emphasized that the film highlights not only the genius of George Enescu but also the human side of the composer. „This film aims to showcase not just the genius of composer George Enescu but also his human dimensions. I hope that through this production we can bring the audience closer to Enescu’s soul and help them appreciate him as he deserves. Beyond the genius composer, the audience will discover the man Enescu in this film. I hope our film contributes to softening some of our fellow humans, something Enescu aimed to achieve through his music. Perhaps it can not only soften them but also inspire them to love him as he deserves.”
